Our Community is moving to a new platform!
Hey everyone, We’ve got some exciting news to share: our community is moving to a brand-new space designed to make your experience smoother, clearer, and more connected than ever. Here’s what you can look forward to: Easily readable threads - follow conversations effortlessly, jump back in without losing context, and spend less time scrolling. Common boards with the ChromeOS community - discover shared discussions, insights, and expertise all in one place. A dark mode option - easier on the eyes (especially for those late-day or early-morning check-ins). And more improvements to come, all focused on making collaboration and knowledge-sharing simpler. We will have some downtime in the community while we transition. Fear not! We’ll still be around, the resources will be accessible but the conversations happening between 21st February and 5th March will not be carried over to the new platform. Hey everyone, I hope you’re doing well and that your year is off to a smooth start! I just wanted to let you know I will be away from the Customer Community from 12th - 16th January; I’ll be back on Monday 19th. Hey everyone, We’re looking into reports that some community members have reported an issue with their Community inbox - it seems like they can see the notifications for new messages but are unable to access their inbox and their messages (old and new). At the moment, it is only affecting a very small number of members but we wanted to flag this issue - if you are experiencing anything similar, please let us know! Hey everyone, Just a quick heads-up. I’ll be away from the community until the 13th October. I have barely been away from the community this year, so it will be a strange feeling, but nice to have a bit of a break. I will be catching up with some old friends to celebrate a special occasion in Singapore, a place I’ve never been before - so if you have any recommendations please do let me know. Hi there, With so many great conversations here in the Android Enterprise Community, tags are a great way of helping members find specific topics of interest. Exploring posts by a specific tag You’ll see all the tags on the main community homepage, right below the “Featured Conversations” section: When you click on one of these tags, a page will display all the Android Enterprise community conversations with that tag. Select the tabs to filter them into “most recent”, “most viewed” or “most likes”. This can come in handy if, for example, you want to know more about tags such as Zero-Touch or if you have a question specifically related to an EMM ie. Microsoft InTune. Searching via the ‘What are members’ saying section or via the deeper search You can also search and select tags in the ‘What members are saying’ section (located just below the ‘start a discussion’ button): You can search for any tags by just typing in the tag you’re interested in. Please note that the tags showing in the drop down are the most used ones but you can search for any tag. Finally, you can always research a tag or even a cue word via the search bar: The search bar can help you find previous discussions and allows you to expand your search beyond the tags. Adding a tag to your post Whenever you start a new community conversation, you will have the option to add one or multiple tags: Suggesting a new tag If you feel that there is a new tag we could add to the list, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with your suggestions and we’ll examine those internally. Hello, It's fantastic to see you are interesting in joining our community. If you are still undecided on why you might want to join here are a few things to consider: Ability to subscribe to different areas of the community: never miss an update or post and hear what is going on in Android Enterprise (you can control in your Settings how often you would like to receive notifications) Have a question, an interesting discussion idea or a feature request: you can create a post and share it here in the community Support others: give kudos to others and share your opinion Lastly, the community is here for our customers and together we can create a great space for everyone to enjoy, learn and shape future products (and have a bit of fun a long the way). Sign me up? Here is a step-by-step guide on how to register in the community: 1. Click on the avatar in the top right corner of the screen Desktop: Mobile view: 2. Follow the prompt and sign in to your Google account (* if you do not have an existing Google account, you will need to create a one before registering in the community). As this is a professional environment, we would recommend using an account linked to your work email. 3. Complete the registration (this will only take a minute) As part of this you will be asked to create your community username. Tips for this: keep it nice and short so it is easy to remember, something like your first name followed by your last initial. If you are an admin, you will see you have two additional questions. If you know you Android Enterprise organization ID, please do add it, as it will help us to provide a better experience There you are, you should now be registered! Hey everyone, As you may know we hosted our second community watchparty for the Made By Google 2025 event, thank you to those who came. If you missed the event, you can catch-up here, or read the blog articles directly. It would be great to hear which features/products you are most interested in - so feel free to share below. In addition to this, we’d love to hear about any future relevant events you’d like to have a community watch party for. Please do share your ideas below. Hey everyone, You might have noticed that the email notifications you receive when someone sends you a message or replies to one of your posts/comments have stopped coming into your inbox. In the meantime, the little notification indicator in your community header will still highlight your notifications. Our goal with the community is to create a space where you can collaborate with other members, support each other and discuss all things Android Enterprise. Here are a few handy tips on how you can follow to get your bearings: Getting started here in the Customer Community: our starting guide, which is an essential read ahead of posting! Community Guidelines: It’s important to know the dos and don’t dos so we can keep our community safe and inspiring. Let us know a bit more about you - our dedicated introduction post is a great way to get to know other members. We always find something interesting to chat about and connect. Upcoming events: we organise events regularly and they’re free to join. These events are a good opportunity to learn together and to spark conversations. Finally, Emilie_B is your dedicated community manager and your first point of contact if you have any questions, if you see something that doesn’t feel right or if you just want to say hello and have a chat! The community manager can be tagged or contacted via a direct message (DM). You may also see inputs, blog articles and deep dives from other members of the Android Enterprise team: Lizzie, who started the Android Enterprise community and is still regularly involved with updates, as well as members’ posts and queries. Hello everyone, We're excited to announce a new addition to our community space 🥁: ChromeOS Customer Community! ChromeOS Customer Community will now sit alongside the Android Enterprise Customer Community, offering a dedicated area for ChromeOS discussions, product updates, and information sharing. Why has ChromeOS joined our community platform? Some of the key benefits (a lot based on discussions with community members) are: Shared stakeholders, greater efficiency: Several of you have mentioned that you use Android Enterprise and ChromeOS and so where relevant, we hope by bringing both communities onto a single community platform will help streamline your experience and that of your colleagues. Increasing product synergy: As ChromeOS and Android Enterprise products begin to work together more effectively over the coming years, having both product communities in close proximity allows for easier sharing of insights on integrated solutions, best practices that span both ecosystems and relevant updates. The ChromeOS customer community were looking for a new home and so we are very pleased to welcome them here! How does this work across the community? We hope this is quite intuitive: Switching between communities: Simply look for the product logo in the top left of your screen (on both desktop and mobile). Click the dropdown arrow next to the logo to see and select the community you wish to view. Dedicated community headers: Each community has its own homepage and header, providing access to different areas like discussions and product updates. Feel free to explore! Unified community profile: You'll have one single community profile, which will collectively display your activity and engagement across both communities. *Please note, we will soon be implementing a redirect for androidenterprise.community so this lands directly on the Android Enterprise community homepage. If ChromeOS isn't your primary focus, rest assured that this update will not impact your Android Enterprise Customer Community experience, so if this is you please continue to participate just in the one community. We'll continue to keep you informed about upcoming Android Enterprise developments and relevant information. Thank you for all your patience as we implemented this update.
