Roaming Intune Device Enrollment
Hi, is there any way to get a report in Intune to check how many of the devices I have enrolled are roaming?
I was able to do so in a previous MDM (MaaS360) but I am not able to find any option in Intune.
Thank you

Great to meet you Myriam3007.
Rakib, Timmy, jarmo_akkanen, Michel wondering if you might have noticed this whilst using Intune?

With roaming, are you thinking about devices that are on cellular or something else ?

Hi Timmy, Yes, I am thinking about Android devices connected to a different carrier, not the home carrier.

Ah okay I understand, to my knowledge Intune does not collect that information.

Yes, but only when you enroll with device admin and not Android Enterprise. You can check if there is any options using OEMConfig from your vendor.

To see what items you can generate a report on, go to an Android device and open the hardware monitor page. All items listed there could be used to generate a report. But as mentioned by others, roaming isn't listed there.

Just checked and confirm I can see this being reported in SOTI and WS1 as well as MaaS360 as you've listed. I'll add this to my never ending list of Intune shortcomings.

Also, just realized in MaaS360 if you are using an eSIM it doesn't report anything.... only the physical SIM cards

Microsoft just shared some more information in a blog:

So Intune is only just now enriching data collection to attempt to match what other EMMs have offered for years but the data will only be collected once every 24 hours? Pretty embarrassing if you ask me.

Correct, Intune and Android isn't a very good marriage. Is good enough for the basics, but thats it.
Past years we saw an increased attention for Apple in Intune, i'm hoping they are shifting their focus to Android soon. We have a lot of customers who use Intune and aren't very happy to move to something else for their Android devices (if not absolutely necessary).
